The Conservation Council of South Australia is an environmental organisation that aims to develop the green movement’s blueprint for environmental action in South Australia, by focusing on water, planning, waste, biodiversity, coast and marine, and energy. The organisation serves as a peak body, representing approximately 50 member groups. The Conservation Council of South Australia informs the public and government on key environmental issues and participates in government and community processes that seek to restore and protect the natural environment. The Council liaises with industry, government departments, unions, community organisations and all political parties.
